Join us Saturday, May 14th at 12:00 pm for the annual Black Girl Showcase to learn more about the social change projects their Girl Action Teams have been working on. Girl Action Teams encourage girls to fully develop their voice and problem-solving capacity so they can realize their full potential.

Each team consists of 10-15 girls in middle and high school who meet after school and work together to learn about social justice, identify challenges in their communities, and design and implement creative solutions to address them as a team.

This annual showcase is a celebration for their Girl Action Teams and a way to bring the community together to learn about social justice issues and how to solve them with a little Black Girl Magic. The girls will share information about their projects and talk about the impact on the community and themselves.

Following the showcase, the VMFA Pauley Patio will be open for participants and one guest to join us for light refreshments.
