Come hear from & connect with Black mental health professionals and artists/creatives who utilize various art forms in a therapeutic manner.
This is an opportunity for the Richmond community to hear about mental health from the Black perspective. There will be various Black therapists, community mental health providers, and artists/creatives speaking and participating in a panel to discuss and answer questions about all things Mental Health and Wellness. This is to highlight mental health from the Black perspective and local Black providers, however, this even is open to ALL, children included. This event is for ages 13+ , however, we ask that all children under age 18 be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $10 each per person (child or adult). There are also free/sponsored ticket options available.
12pm-115pm - Speakers/Performances
During this time, the mental health professionals will be speaking about their personal mental health journeys, why they got into the mental health field, and/or share education about specific topic areas within the mental health realm. Also during this time, two artists/creatives will be sharing pieces of their work and how various art forms have been incorporated into their mental health-care routines and practices.
115-2pm - Panel Discussion
During this time, five panelists will be answering various questions and doing a Q&A with the audience.
2-3pm Connection Time
During this time, attendees will have the opportunity to connect one on one with the various providers and artists/creatives to get connected, set up intake appointments if desired, and ask questions about services offered.
