St. Luke Legacy Center’s - Laburnum

Mia’s Book Room is on a mission to provide books to the communities that need them the most, our first Little Free Library was opened in January on Laburnum Avenue, very close to The Richmond Raceway and Essex Village! The idea of a free book fair stems from my childhood. I remember being so excited for the Scholastic Book Fair while in school, but I also remember having peers that were disappointed that they couldn’t participate because they didn’t have the money. That shouldn’t have been a concern for children, and I knew then that I had to do something about it.

This book fair will take place at The St. Luke Legacy Center’s Laburnum location, 409 East Laburnum Avenue Richmond, VA 23222, on June 30th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and on July 1st from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. June 30th is dedicated to schools, daycares, churches, and organizations. We will be giving away close to 1,000 books and there will be books for children, teenagers, young adults, and adults!

This event is free and open to the public on July 1st!
