Jubilation In June - Legacy Band Live!

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities will host the inaugural Jubilation in June Festival, with the kickoff beginning at the 65th annual Festival of Arts on Friday, June 17 at 8 p.m. with a performance from the R&B cover band Legacy Band at Dogwood Dell, 600 S. Arthur Ashe Blvd. For those not able to make it to the amphitheater, the department will also have a live stream on Facebook.

Jubilation in June is the City of Richmond 3 day roving festival commemorating the Juneteenth Holiday.

Day One • Friday June 17th, 2022 • 8pm • The weekend will kick off on The Dogwood Dell Stage. The Legacy Band will take the stage and open the 65th year of the Festival of the Arts.

Day Two • Saturday June 18, 2022 • 10 – 2 pm • Spend the Morning learning about the historic 17th Street Market and watch a performance of Freedom Journey presented by City of Richmond Children

Day Three • Sunday June 19, 2022 Deep Water Terminal (AKA the Sugar Pad) • Inaugural Juneteenth Festival • Food truck vendors, children's activities, music, dance, and other entertainment. • Stage Performances by Elegba Folklore, Freedom Journey, local recording artist Bee Bouiseou • Culminating the evening with a performance by national recording Artist the Hamiltones (Album 1964 the Juneteenth Anthem) and a Firework Display
