"Spirit on Fire" by Rain Spann (art exhibit)
Friday, October 7, 5P-10P
The Spot
“Spirit on Fire” is a series of 18 mixed media works inspired by a time of intense transition, change, and acclimation. Through collage, color, and symbolism, the body of work shows feelings of self-doubt, passion, and other emotional states of the human experience. Through figurative abstraction, the Artist offers a vivid showing of the inner workings of the human spirit and personal growth. Imagery like the "crown of knives" is used to express mental distress while stars indicate the wondrous rediscovery of passion. Spann translates personal experience into his artwork, creating a portal to re-establish a sense of self, identity, and groundedness in a new space.
Rain Spann will be opening his second solo exhibit at The Spot in the Arts District of Richmond, VA for RVA First Fridays! Opening night will be 10.07.22 at 5pm-10pm and the exhibit will run through October 31st. We are excited to have you join us in this experience.
