The 8th Annual Afrikana Independent Film Festival is going down September 14-17th 2023 in Richmond, VA.

Afrikana is a four-day event full of dynamic cinema, live performances, panel discussions, meet & greets, happy hours, workshops and parties at some of Richmond's most impressive art spaces.

With submissions from over 23 countries and filmmakers representing the fullness of the diaspora, Afrikana is excited to bring lovers of film and Black culture back together after two long years!! Film screenings, artist talks, mixers, workshops, dinners, brunches, and more... get your tickets, it's going down in RVA!!
