The Richmond Night Market (RNM) is preparing for the launch of season 2 with a Virtual Night Market Experience, Saturday, April 11th from 5pm to 10pm, featuring The Heavyhitter, DJ Lonnie B and Richmond native, Sam Reed on the Virtual Main Stage to provide the soundtrack to families and the art community worldwide via Instagram Live at @richmondnightmarketva.

The highly anticipated virtual experience for attendees will also include a shopping experience with independent artisans and small business owners in the Artisan Village, an interactive session for families in the Creative Kids Hangout courtesy of Oakwood Arts and witness a masterpiece created by Visual Artist Sone-Seere Burrell in the Maker space.

The Richmond Night Market is a small business and artisan incubator. Here is where you will find goods being sold that consist of but not limited to clothing, jewelry, ceramics, visual art, home decor items and more! In addition, through partnerships with sponsors to include Capital One, small business services are offered at no cost to participating artisans to assist in business development and growing their business. Each month, a curated experience allows attendees the opportunity to support artisans and the small business community while celebrating the diversity and love of art, music and culture.

Slated as a monthly open air social gathering every 2nd Saturday, April - December, the Richmond Night Market highlights creativity, commerce, and community while showcasing the layered and diverse aspects of the artistic scene. Attendees will be able to shop local and visiting artists, participate in interactive stations at the Makerspace and the Creative Kids Hangout, and enjoy live music and a DJ to complete the night.

“In lieu of Covid-19, our team remains committed to serving the arts and small business community. We are excited about this pivot we were able to make during this time and look forward to expanding our efforts and resources to participants to include using our website and social media platforms for more engagement and e-commerce opportunities.  We are asking everyone to follow us on Instagram for updates to include participant spotlights to be provided and instructions on how to participate in the experience,” says Co-Creator, Melody Short.
