A powerful and engaging community event!

Local residents share their own personal experiences with race, community, segregation, and history in our community during the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s.

Storytellers for 2023, the program’s ninth year, will be Rebecca Doggett Bray, Mary Jane Ghee, Trisha Leonard Higgins, Matt "Moto" Lewis, Ollie Lewis, and Steve Trivett. Plus, special guests Jamelle Wilson and Anthony Keitt.

The program will conclude with the Community Gospel Chorus under the direction of Tyler Spurlock.

The oral history program is ideal for adults and children of middle and high school age.
